About the Author

Nayra Atiya collects oral histories, writes and translates.  After living in Cairo, Egypt and New York City for many years, she has decided to make her home in Utah where she enjoys the proximity of enchanting natural surroundings and a quieter life.  She particularly enjoys yoga, walking, swimming, sunshine, silence, bodies of water, and the company of a few friends.

Nayra loved rowing a skiff on the Nile for many years while living in Cairo.  She hopes to find a way to be on the water again, perhaps learning to gently kayak.
